SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Police hope you can help them track down a man accused of using a social networking site to lure a 13-year-old girl to a San Bernardino motel.
Michael Ray White has a $1 million warrant out for his arrest. Police say he lured the girl from her home in Lancaster to a motel and sexually assaulted her.
"Our investigation also showed that he had met our victim on a social networking site some days before he came to pick her up," said San Bernardino Police Department Chief Robert Handy. "They had been conversing on the social networking site and he had developed a relationship with her."
The girl's parents learned about their daughter's whereabouts after logging on to her computer and contacted authorities.
Police were led to the Leisure Inn Suites where they found the girl, but the 60-year-old had already fled.
Investigators say White had been staying at the motel since November. They recovered his computer and learned that the 13-year-old may not have been the only alleged victim.
"Our investigation has revealed multiple other girls coming and going from the room from November to the end of the month- the end of December," said Handy.
Police are hoping to speak with the girls seen coming and going from White's room.
Investigators say White has a distinct hunched-over appearance because of a spinal disease. He has blonde hair in a ponytail, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with the tattoo "Dina" on his chest. They also say White may not be clean-shaven, as opposed to the photo depicting him with a beard.
Authorities say he has been spotted panhandling in Redlands, Loma Linda and Upland.
Investigators said they recovered White's abandoned rented car in Upland. If you have any information call San Bernardino police at 909-384-5742.
