Police need the public's help finding a man who kidnapped, raped and stabbed a 17-year-old girl who accepted a ride from him in Hemet.
The girl, who lives out of town, was visiting friends and family on Sunday when she said he pulled up at Florida Avenue and Lyon Street and offered the ride. He drove to Valle Vista, attacked her and pushed her out of the truck when she fought back.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 160 pounds and clean shaven with short, slicked back hair.
The victim also said the man spoke English with a thick Spanish accent.
He drove a white 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck. It may have front-end damage sustained when the driver fled the scene.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Hemet police at (951) 765-2400.

While I feel bad that this girl was raped and stabbed, why did she get in the car of a complete stranger? By doing this, she put herself in harm's way. At 17 she is old enough to know better.  Mark As Violation
Even though she should have known better... she's still the victim and he's scum of the earth. Mark As Violation
Man? No, he's not a man. He's a piece of ####
Who should be taken out and shot. Mark As Violation
Guilty until proven innocent is unpatriotic. Mark As Violation
I am thankful to the Sheriff that noticed the guy, but where were the Hemet police regarding this Hemet man with all the previous charges against him? Did they investigate this guy or consider him?  Mark As Violation
